BULGARIA
In Bulgaria how you greet someone is an important way to show respect. You would have to give a firm handshake and direct eye contact. HUNGARY If visiting a Hungarian home for a meal, bring a box of chocolates, flowers, or Western liquor. ROMÂNIA When women greet they must kiss each other on the cheek, but start of the left side then go right. Also first names are freely given, though it is polite to address acquaintances not of your age by an honorific title and the family name. UKRAINE Comply with dress code in churches (women should never cover their heads in an Orthodox church.) POLAND Be punctual |

UKRAINE Don’t wear shorts and t-shirt at church, theater,concert, or and upscale restaurants,and remember to take off your hats when you go indoors POLAND Do not leave your shoes on when you get in the house you are already expected to take your shoes off. |
